Bhakti here tonight. Boy are we wayyyyy behind on blogs! We will be playing catch up for the next few days I think. Still, tonight I’m definitely feeling all the feels.
It wasn’t an easy week as we transitioned from slow travel to a fast paced country change. I’m finally a bit homesick and unsettled and as the arbiter of joy in our family… when I go down… well… you can imagine the impact.
Vacationing and worldschooling are really different things. We aren’t off-duty and it’s not an escape, this is our lives… not a break.
We are teaching global citizenship, culture, inclusion, perspective, tenacity, perseverance and more. Today was (for a variety of reasons) a very tough travel day. I’m proud of how we handled it. Teaching through example and living the adventure.
Tonight was arrival and some (predictably) terrible French sushi (no… it’s not a thing… and based on this experience, it’s not likely to become one) from the restaurant downstairs. Tomorrow we hit les Halles, stock the house and explore our new town and country, Avignon France. I’m glad to finally have a home base again. Settled in for the month, never felt better.
Une vie d’aventure et de joie 🇫🇷
